First announced in September 2016, SpaceX's Starship rocket has been a constant job for Elon Musk's space wing of companies.SpaceX's Starship, previously known as the Interplanetary Transport System (ITS), is 9 meters in diameter, 50 meters tall and made almost entirely of carbon fiber composites.
In theory, the rocket can launch up to 300 tons into low Earth orbit -- twice the payload of Saturn V, the company's next most powerful rocket.On the eve, Elon Musk revealed the first official Starship updates in about two years, the last such reveal being in 2019, in addition to flight tests that the company has regularly shared.
